Cameryn is an arrogant member of Megam's Holy Guard, once the heir of House Fairen. He gave up his inheritance to be in Lucre with his sister, Hilary, with whom he has had a continued affair and romance since their childhood.

Oldest son and heir to House Fairen, a small Megam noble house with little power or reconition, Cameryn was trained in all the things a Lord should know -- which wasn't much, as Fairen's actual power was slight. Running the household, keeping the books, saying the right prayers ... while he preformed all of his responsabilities knowing that they were his duty and must be carried out, the only of these skills he took any real joy in was lance training, where he learned to wield both on foot and from horseback.
He grew up under a promise, however, that the Fairen he controlled would not be the one he was born into. His twin sister, Hilary, was beautiful, gracious, intelligent, sweet, and trained down to her core to be a perfect, irresistable wife. She was groomed from birth to wed an influencial lord of a major house, and finally gain House Fairen power and recognition. This is the dream he had been whispered and promised for as long as he's lived, and, as Hilary caught the eye of Lord Caroval of Emila, a dream that was shaping to be a reality.
There was nothing that he wanted less.
Cameryn and Hilary had kept a secret between the two of them for many years, since innocent childish experimentation had snowballed into something much, much larger. They know that in Megam, especially, their situation is damnably wrong, but they've never been able to stop. He was desperately in love with her, and loathed the thought of her, far off in the City of Light, with some man twice her age who didn't love her like he did, couldn't love her like he did.
The day when Hilary was to leave for Lucre to began preparations for her marriage, Cameryn make a suprising announcement: he would be giving his birthright up to his younger brother, to join Lucre's Holy Guard. All commended his selfless choice. None knew his true reasons.
In the nine years that have followed, he's learned to ride dragonback, maintained his service in the Guard, mingling with the clergy and gaining the small bit of influence the members of the Holy Guard are capable of acheiving. He secured his younger sister a position in a convent, consistantly speaks with his little brother on the running of the now somewhat influencial House Fairen, and trains hard, enjoying the challenge sparring with his fellow Guard members brings.
He has also maintained his affair with Hilary, through her marriage, since her husband died, to this very day. As of yet, none have ever learned of their secret ...

Cameryn is often described as either "impossible to dislike" or "impossible to like."
He's flippant, languid, and cocky, seeming to treat life and everything within it as a slightly boring but overall interesting game. He views himself as the most powerful and probably best looking man in the Guard -- if not in Megam entirely -- and come often come across as superior and condescending. His white dragon has no name because he "never bothered and doesn't exactly see the purpose." He turns sullen and bitter when things don't go exactly his way, he is manipulative and demanding to try to force them to. And sometimes, when listening to some things he says, it becomes shockingly apparent that his values and belief systems are far from the accepted norms.
However, he's charming, pleasant, and pious, rarely seen going more than a day without spending time in prayer. He's loyal to those he allies himself with to the end, committed to both Megam and the Dragons it thrives under. He is a good, enjoyable conversationalist. He's often smiling, seeming to exude a sort of arrogant charisma that often makes it quite irresistable not to want to follow him. He's very devoted to all of him family, especially his twin sister. He's realistic, never lying to himself and rarely lying to others. He's intelligent, a deep thinker, a quick wit, and occassionally, something of a careless philosopher.

Cameryn is very handsome, tall, dark-haired, green-eyed, regal. He keeps his long dark hair tied back in a ponytail, and wears either the ceremonial armour of the Holy Guard, or fine but serviceable fine Megam fashions.
